Pros

Flexible hours since you can schedule and reschedule your own appointments. Quality of products are very good. Installers do a very good job. You are given leads. Good job for a part timer or retiree.

Cons

You are treated like a subcontractor although you are an employee. You have to supply your own phone, laptop and everything else needed to be a designer. You are given a compensation schedule, then heavily encouraged to discount so that you can never reach the top commission level, which is not high to begin with. You are not given anything for gas/car allowance or your time. You need to see every customer at least twice so that is your time and gas you are laying out for someone else's business. You are lied to by management until you accept the job and find out the truth about everything. You are not paid until the vendor pays the company even though you have done the work and the job was installed. This could be months later. The company does not think it should bear the cost of doing business and instead passes that burden on to the employee.

Appreciate the positive feedback regarding the Jacksonville location. It is wonderful to know that the flexible schedule and team atmosphere are meeting expectations. Providing a space where designers can grow professionally is a priority for the company. While the commission structure is a standard part of the industry, we are pleased that the overall experience has been so rewarding. Thank you for the hard work and dedication.

Pros

Great company, best product! However, the owner that took over around 2019 really changed the culture. Didn’t really want unity (which we already had) and didn’t like that we tried to foster it. Made someone a sales leader who really shouldn’t have been, and designers really don’t like either of them. Office staff is wonderful, and install team is great.

Cons

I wouldn’t say this is a con- however; Not enough training. If you’re good with staying in your own lane, staying hungry to learn, then you’ll be fine. It can be a really lucrative business if you want it to be- but it definitely isn’t “easy”.
