Pros

It all seems like a good starting point for a graduate willing to accept anything just to start a career.

Cons

I decided to write this review for the next graduate to be saved from this useless company. Completely incompetent HR and probably the whole management. Here are the facts you make your mind about this company based on that. Bear in mind this happened in July 2020 in the middle of a pandemic. I got offered a position of Data Analyst in London ( the pay is 23,100 in London) I happily accepted just to get into the industry even with the low pay. I was asked to start ASAP but I could not as I had two-week notice in my job. So we agreed to start in two weeks' time. I served notice to my old job and also notice to my landlord to move closer to the office in Canary Wharf. The whole time I communicated with my manager about onboarding and so on. On Friday I received a normal email that we will have a zoom meeting in the morning of my starting day. On Monday morning HR and some manager told me my position was cancelled and they are really sorry. So I quit my stable job (can not be rehired as hiring is frozen now due to COVID) They did not bother to tell me in advance at all. They knew about it and waited till Monday morning to tell me ( I am sure the HR person was too busy at home) at the cherry on the top... they were soo nice to offer me one week of pay (they made it seem that they are doing me a favor by paying one week) Lucky enough I double-checked my contract and notice period was two weeks. So I had to send an email telling them my rights and they, of course, said oh yeah sorry we will pay two weeks. So let's pretend they did not know that they were obliged to pay for two weeks. It is understandable position got cancelled with the current climate. What is not understandable is the complete incompetency of the HR team and managers to communicate that a person does not have a job and wait till the day they are supposed to start and then not even do your legal part. Simply disgraceful.

Pros

Decent work life balance, some good teammates who care about each other and the company makes payroll on time (for most people)

Cons

The executives can’t stand each other and can’t make decisions, so the rest of us were left running in circles. Revenue has declined every year and it keeps getting worse. We had at least 4 layoffs a year and they never communicate them — one day your coworkers just don’t show up. Everyone is constantly looking over their shoulder. The best people have already left because they see the writing on the wall. The products aren’t good and aren’t getting better. They keep talking about Nexus but no one knows what it means or who even wants it. Numbers change depending on who’s presenting them and why. There’s no consistent story on targets internally, which makes it impossible to plan or prioritize anything. PE ownership and puppets in the C Suite meant that every decision gets filtered through “what does this look like for the exit” rather than what’s actually good for the business or the people in it. Compensation hasn’t kept up, especially after layoffs when your workload doubles and nothing changes in your paycheck. No real investment in development either. Bottom line: you’re a headcount, not a person. And they manage by spreadsheet not logic.
