Pros
If you want to benchmark against the worst treatment possible this is the place to go. While working a booth at a job fair, after I left Cintas I spoke with a fellow recruiter who also had worked for Cintas. One thing to remember especially military members because Cintas aggressively recruits former NCOs and junior officers is if you paid any attention to ethics training or showed any concern for your troops this is not the place for you. Become a prison guard for the state of California, you will be paid better and the convicts will respect you more than Cintas management will.
Cons
Petty treatment, moronic work rules, martinets in management and stinginess beyond compare. In addition, if you seek any intelligent conversation beyond last night's ball game you are out of luck. At a company function an executive was asked, "Why does not Cintas provide tuition assistance"? The answer given was if we paid college tuition how could we say no to someone who wanted to study horticulture compared to someone who wanted to study business. Easy, Cintas has more rules that any firm I have ever worked for. Create a rule that says we only pay college tuition for majors that relate to our business, i.e. industrial engineering, accounting, HR whatever. Instead, Cintas chose to treat the people in the room as if we all had lobotomies. I got away from Cintas as soon as something better came along.
