Pros
Health Benefits PTO The brand is looked at positively by outsiders
Cons
Location: If inhaling asbestos and working in an industrial town 20 miles from Chicago with no option of public transport sounds good, then this is the place for you. (Winters are fun) Management: Monkeys in suits would be a better option. The atmosphere is authoritarian with no team dynamics or modern leadership (good luck having an opinion or feedback taken seriously). CEO is an out-of-touch moron, only in a position because of nepotism. Other benefits: Outdated, don't even bring up work from home, it only took a pandemic to get them to move from this policy. No flexible hours, expensive cafeteria, bare minimum holidays, no summer hours, team/company events are a joke. Ridiculous business professional dress code (tie or jacket) when manual labor in the warehouse is sometimes a requirement for desk employees Facilities: One word: Gray. Dusty cubicles. Attached to a loud warehouse. Nothing gets you more depressed than walking into this place. Everything is outdated including the technology. Internal Growth: Cintas loves to tout how they promote from within. This is untrue, you will see new faces in the office constantly (mainly because of high turnover) and instead of promoting a long-term employee, they hire from outside. Culture: Work/life balance is non-existent. There is the classic "live to work" instead of "work to live" mindest. Probably because the majority of people working here are old. The company struggles to retain anyone 40 and under despite having a program dedicated to recruiting college students.
