Pros
Benefits are ok. Changed to PTO if you can ever manage to use it and not made to feel guilty about taking days you earned off
Cons
Where do I even start? This company is awful to work for. At least at my location. Surely other locations are not nearly as dysfunctional or the whole company would go belly up. Everything st my location starts with the arrogant and incompetent GM who only got the job because of race and a lot of kissing up to the right people. You are treated like a number despite how hard you work or how many years you have put into the place and how much you have done for the location and will be fired at any point. Management will make up lies about you and fake documentation to get you out of the door if you rock the boat. There is a culture of fear and paranoia that goes through the whole location brought on because of management’s own paranoia. Relax not everyone is trying to get you! Maybe the GM is so paranoid because he knows he is under qualified for the job in the first place. Turn over is 50% no lie and people are dropping like flies. Morale is so low partners literally wake up wondering if they can just stay in bed because they got fired. The pressure on the ssr is immense because of unrealistic sales goals that are based on fictional numbers. Cintas pretends to care about customers but gouges then at every opportunity. Customers are at a breaking point and SSRs bear the brunt of their frustrations. The SSRs are in a no win situation and are forced to stick it to their customers to hit their numbers else they will be fired for underperformance. There is zero loyalty in the company despite how many years you put in. If you rock the boat you will be shown the door even if you have a stellar record. They will make up lies about you and try to tarnish your reputation to make it seem like it is your fault. They will also work you to the bone. Can’t tell you how many people at the location have gotten high blood pressure from the job. People are literally popping Xanax just to get through the day! The income for SSRs is not stable. If they choose to do a route split you can lose 10-20k per month in volume which equates to about 1000-2000 dollars a month. Also because your sales goals go up each year your bonuses and commissions actually go down the longer you are with the company because it gets to a certain point to where the goals and bonuses are not achievable. This is possibly the only company where you can make much less 5 years into the job than you made your first year! Your pay check shouldn’t go down. Management micromanages to the nth degree and gets in the way of business. All they care about is passing internal audits and being at the top of certain internal rankings. Sales and SSRs are under such pressure that they do unethical things like stuffing medical boxes or double selling accounts. Can’t tell you how many window resets are bogus just so the sales rep can scrape by. Pay is ridiculously low and has high volatility. Zero work life balance. You work 12 hours a day and go home and become a recluse. Meetings about meetings. Finally very cheap. Won’t pay for anything to help the front line
