Pros

Great company. Stock Price has done nothing but shoot up. It is the top company in the rental industry, so definitely work for them if you want to do this job. AMAZING training program. You will learn the great basics to Sales and they invest heavy into training you weekly. I would almost compare the job to boot camp for sales. If you do well too, the money can be good. Even if you go through the motions, it's not bad money.

Cons

It's a very hard industry. There is never really as many prospects out there as they tell you. I would argue the industry as a whole has a negative view in many other business eyes. Companies who have tried Uniform programs usually will have been burned by them at some point, and it's hard to get those people back. Selling Uniforms I think is much tougher than selling Facility Services. If I could I offer advice, if you have the choice, sell FS, not uniforms. FS you will always have someone brand new opening and many more prospects...which is where you make money....new customers. Uniforms, you just have more working against you. Also, this is a tough job, and like other jobs, if you have a manager who you don't feel is helping you...the job is even tougher. You can't control who manages you, but Cintas has to realize better who they put in that position.

Pros

The Commission is great. You can make good money in this place.

Cons

While the pay is good, the culture here is not. It is incredibly restrictive. It is very much a “Do what I want you to do, how I want you to do it, and when I want you to do it” management style. They constantly remind you of how much money you can make there which gets annoying after a while. The service team and the sales team are constantly at odds. Not just Cintas, but the industry in general is very sleazy, much like a car dealership. They screw over their smaller customers with enormous year over year price increases. I know a particular salesperson who is having a lot of success their who has no problem lying to his customers, and never answering their calls when the problems come. As long as he keeps the deals coming Cintas does not care. Corporate greed is on full display at Cintas. The Management Development program for college graduates seems like a great opportunity. If you are a young college graduate and you get the opportunity, I would recommend that.
