Pros
Pay is good or at least is equivalent to other large chemical plants and refineries. . Benefits are average for the industry. 401k is based on base pay and excludes overtime pay. As does bunus pay. This makes a significant difference over the course of a career when you are making 170 to 200k with overtime but only being matched a percentage of your base pay.
Cons
Mandatory on call on days off for operators. This means covering shift supervisors jobs with operators when they take off. Work load in operations is about twice what other facilities ask from their operators. No profit sharing or stock options. Benefits package is average but insurance is slightly below standard compared to other big names in this industry.
