Pros

- amazing history and heritage - top notch training/on-boarding program in Paris; really gives you a full understanding and deep appreciation of the brand - great employee discounts - great work/life balance (in some departments) - generally nice people

Cons

- slow to adopt change and technology - lacks process and understanding of roles/responsibilities - extremely hierarchal; directors and above have more perks and power but is not consistent across the board - leadership and global teams often need to weigh-in on extremely tactical matters - very little collaboration or transparency with French/global teams - training/on-boarding program in Paris is only available to directors and above but there's no consistency for when an employee goes, so it could be within 1 year or within 5 years - all communication and work relies on individuals so there is no standard way of doing anything; everything is an exception - extremely political; those who know how to work the politics will go far - managers receive very little training or guidance from the company so some teams are extremely competitive while some other teams are very chaotic. All depends on the manager - leadership is often not in sync; causes mass chaos, confusion and frustration among 'doers' - difficult to move up - offers the very minimum legally required maternity leave
