Pros

The interactions with customers could sometimes be enjoyable.

Cons

The directors do not care about the reps. They only care about the bottom line. There were many times they slipped up when going over commissions and how they allocate the charges. This made it clear and solidified a few of the shady processes they use to grow the bottom line without care of the reps pockets and double dipping (e.g. Programming fees and "no restocking fees") They have inconsistent and questionable practices. For example, they charge their employees for all lost/stolen merchandise. Not only do they charge the reps, they charge the full retail price so they can profit rather than replace products. The spiff on devices also change regularly and are not kept accessible to all reps. This makes reconciling commission checks nearly impossible because there is no way to determine the vaps and spiffs for a specific device on a specific date. The commissions are supposed to be split 50/50 with company and rep but it was confirmed that is not true. They require reps to drive excessive distances for mandatory meetings at unsafe hours without compensation. The company will charge the rep the full cost of a device if it were sold to a "fraudulent" customer even after the rep asks all the proper qualifying questions and determined the consumer did not appear to be fraudulent. There is a lot of favoritism amongst leadership roles and subordinates. Leadership will look the other way if high performing reps are selling unethically but will punish the other reps for the same practices. There is no actual sales training. It's all fluff and generic information. They do not teach sales techniques or proper ethical sales practices. They do not take the time teach reps how to overcome objections which is significantly important in sales. Commissions are not clear in any way, shape or form. They sugar coat everything when they speak and have no clue how anything works. If you ask the trainers a question, it's a vague politician-style answer. If you ask again they will have you ask someone else. The draw system is like no other. The commissions cover the 2 previous months of draw. You pay yourself an advance of your commission. They do not compensate you for the excessive number of meetings regardless of how far you have to drive. Ask most employees and you will find the majority of the company has no idea what the draw pays per hour, how the commission pay structure works or how to track the commission per device/accessory.
