Leadership is expected to act as a buffer between the team and other departments, yet our current supervision frequently bypasses this role, asking only if we have escalated issues to management. The current supervisor appears to have been appointed based on external relationships rather than merit. One-on-one meetings are rare, and the lack of communication often becomes unprofessional, with emails and Teams messages frequently going unanswered. Poor planning on the supervisor's part often results in emergencies for the staff.
