Pros

Very competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including unlimited PTO. Very diverse and accepting. The culture is both professional and also very much in the 21st century unlike other companies. If you are working from home one day and not at the office, nobody is going to bat an eye if you prefer to have your camera off. As long as you are playing your part and doing what is expected of you, there is plenty of flexibility in the work-life balance at this company.

Cons

Not sure if this is a "con" necessarily, but success is dependent on adaptability. Over the course of the pandemic and coming out of it, the company has had to make many pivots and organizational changes more than once. That bugs some people who like an established routine, but it also means you're always learning and staying engaged. There have been a few lay-offs which is always sad, but nothing unacceptable like some other companies have done. With respect to any of the few people who have been let go in the past and decided to post a negative review on here, that is not the majority of the company at the main office in NYC. The retail business is a separate branch of the company, and I cannot speak to what the experience and work life is like for members at retail stores.

Pros

The WTC office is nice

Cons

Most recently Casper moved to a 401k plan that is highly restrictive. It doesn’t allow selecting individual funds to build portfolio, and the funds selected have extremely high cost ratio. Looks like an extreme and desperate measure to save on admin overhead. Also, every year Casper discounts gets deeper and more frequently. The ads are boring and monotonous. Look at Casper a few years back and what it looks like now.
