Pros

Formerly strong cultural focus, previous roster of managers was strong with diversified skills and a collaborative work environment. This was once a great brand, until the buyout.

Cons

Canadian portion of company bought out by high-commission competition. Many of the Canadian retail team laid off, others walked when presented with aggressive new contacts and given 48h to sign or leave. No communication to leadership team about what's going on or what's to come, no support given to Area Manager. Most stores STILL understaffed a month later, with a mystery hold-up preventing stores from interviewing or hiring. People are working open to close, being asked to work immediately after funerals, and having previously approved PTO declined since about half the retail team is gone. Most are actively seeking new roles. This brand used to be culture-focused with an optimistic albeit plausible plan for sales achievement. It quickly slid into absolute chaos and demoralization. I'm glad I left when I did.
