Pros

- The beginning was a blast, and they seemed to genuinely care about their mission and retail initiative - Some great people, though many of them have left - Free mattress is nice

Cons

- Pay was great at first (2018), but they’ve scaled back starting salaries and benefits each year, now they’re just the same as traditional retailers, if not worse - Some truly toxic individuals at the Market/Area Manager level - Work/Life balance is all over the place, with HQ continuously demanding more from shrinking team sizes - It’s clear that Retail has become less of a priority, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Casper move to a e-commerce/wholesale focus sometime in the near future

Pros

The WTC office is nice

Cons

Most recently Casper moved to a 401k plan that is highly restrictive. It doesn’t allow selecting individual funds to build portfolio, and the funds selected have extremely high cost ratio. Looks like an extreme and desperate measure to save on admin overhead. Also, every year Casper discounts gets deeper and more frequently. The ads are boring and monotonous. Look at Casper a few years back and what it looks like now.
