Pros

There is full work from home flexibility

Cons

Since the pandemic the company has changed completely, staff are now treated terribly all levels of management and above and it had become a full blame culture, which it never used to be. Now if something goes wrong even if it’s no one’s fault management immediately question and accuse you before getting any information or facts first and then when it’s shown it isn’t your fault there is no apology. They pile so much work on you as so many staff have now left that it’s impossible to get everything done within working hours and they don’t pay overtime at all. You don’t realise until you leave how truly toxic this place is. The fact that everyone I know since pre pandemic office days have left speaks volumes. Mangers now have such ego complexes that they will ( and I have seen this on my time) refuse annual leave when no one else Is off for no reason at all other than they can, it’s one rule for managers and one rule for consultants, and they will treat you like they are better than you because senior management allow it. The pay is also terrible and not inline with competitors

Pros

The learners are genuinely wonderful — motivated, intelligent global professionals and their families. The work itself is rewarding and the DLS platform is easy to navigate. Language Network Specialists & Consultants are responsive (when they want something from you) and seem to be well-meaning.

Cons

The payment timeline is the core problem. By the time you factor in their monthly cycle, audit period, and up to 45 calendar days for processing, you're waiting nearly three months to be paid for work you completed in week one. For a small independent business/freelancer, that's not flexibility, that's financing their operation with your own cash flow. If you have a full-time salary and teach for Cartus on the side for fun, maybe the structure works for you. If this is your business? Think very carefully.
