I applied to Consultant International Relocation role. Recruiter came back to me sharing the salary information for this role and asking if I am ok to proceed knowing the salary. I replied that yes, I am happy to proceed. A few days later, they sent me a rejection email saying that they decided not to proceed with me. I was confused, as I said that salary works well for me. They kept on reposting the same vacancy a few times and I applied again and the same situation repeated. I wonder if they were looking for candidates who are not happy with their salary. A very confusing experience.

Question 1
This is the salary we offer. Are you ok to proceed knowing the salary?
I applied online. I interviewed at Cartus (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Apr 2024
Interview
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cartus in Feb 2024
Interview
I spent 2 months interviewing for a PM position for Cartus (a relo company under Anywhere RE), completing 5 out of 6 rounds. After my 5th round I was ghosted for 2 weeks with no updates or next steps. Only after following up multiple times and requesting feedback did I finally get a response informing me they offered the position to a former employee. While I understand that companies have the right to choose the best fit, the lack of communication and professionalism was disappointing.
I then asked about another open Product Manager position, hoping to be considered. Instead of a straightforward answer, I was completely ignored.
Overall, this experience left me feeling undervalued and disrespected as a candidate. If this is how they treat prospective employees, I can only imagine how they operate internally. Candidates deserve transparency, timely communication, and basic respect throughout the hiring process—unfortunately, that was not my experience with Cartus/ Anywhere Real Estate.
