Pros

A few great colleagues to work with.

Cons

There's has been a repeated emphasis on positioning management as "people first." However, in practice, this sentiment does not hold true. The reality is a toxic environment where management claims to support their staff but consistently fails to do so. There is a pattern of leadership prioritizing their own image and covering their own mistakes, often at the expense of their team members. Staff are regularly "thrown under the bus" for minor issues, purely for management to save face and appear in a better light. A pervasive sense of entitlement and a clear power trip are emanating from the executive level, which has contributed significantly to the current decline they are experiencing. There is a palpable sense that decisions are not being made with the best interests of the company or its employees in mind. I've noticed a shift in leadership style since the influx of Target leaders into Cargill. The micromanagement approach seems to be spreading, which could undermine the autonomy of the team. I've been seeing a concerning adoption of micromanagement tactics at the mid-level, which is detrimental to employee autonomy and trust. This shift is not conducive to a healthy or productive workplace. The situation with our DEI department is also troubling. It has become increasingly clear that this department is struggling under the intense political climate within Cargill. The focus seems to be shifting away from meaningful diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and towards more political maneuvering. It is evident that Cargill is rapidly going downhill. These issues are not isolated incidents, they are systemic problems that need to be addressed with urgency. Continuing to sugarcoat the situation or ignore the obvious flaws in their current leadership practices. I've read the reviews, and frankly, I find the consistent praise deeply troubling. It's become increasingly clear that these accounts don't reflect the truth of the company current working environment.

Pros

Pay is good, especially on holidays! you get days off during the week and you work every other weekend

Cons

The schedule is hard, 12 hour days for 1 month then 12 hour nights then switch back. the environment is tough, the work load is heavy. not always the support you need to help you. favoritism, Management can be difficult, sink or swim type of culture, The testing is nearly impossible to get through. In the end you can do a great job in learning the job, if they don't want you, you will be replaced!
