Pros

They have a great benefits package and depending on what department you are in and whether or not you are fortunate enough to have good management there is a lot of potential for growth within the company if you are willing to relocate. Recognition is valued if you happen to work with a team that is able to give positive recognition.

Cons

Pay increases? Do they exist? Many of the members of management and supervisory teams do not have any actual business management education and this is evident in the way they deal with their subordinate employees. Positive feedback is lacking. Unfair promotion practices...it's not necessarily based on performance and KSAO's it's based more on how well you play politics. Old fashioned thinking and business practices Lack of diversity Management does not have the ability to or take the time to recognize and develop talent in existing employees, though they are quick to bring in college interns and spend a lot of time on training and development for them. Not all employees are treated equally Not all employees are treated as though they are valued Supervisors do not maintain employee confidentiality Lack of ethics and lack of encouragement toward ethical behavior

Pros

Pay is good, especially on holidays! you get days off during the week and you work every other weekend

Cons

The schedule is hard, 12 hour days for 1 month then 12 hour nights then switch back. the environment is tough, the work load is heavy. not always the support you need to help you. favoritism, Management can be difficult, sink or swim type of culture, The testing is nearly impossible to get through. In the end you can do a great job in learning the job, if they don't want you, you will be replaced!
