Pros

A lot of different businesses under one company means you have a lot to choose from Lengthy tenure of employees Promote within Employee purchase of salt is sometimes offered

Cons

Businesses do not communicate or work together so it is very difficult to move to another business A lot of back-stabbing, mostly directed to newer employees. Once you have a 3-5 years it starts to slow, but you still need to play the game for a few more years until your ideas or new ways of doing things are accepted. Multiple levels of leadership means unless you have it in with a VP or GM, you need to make sure your work is well known Promoting within has led to inbreeding of ideas and ways to do things Very low pay relative to other companies nationally

Pros

Pay is good, especially on holidays! you get days off during the week and you work every other weekend

Cons

The schedule is hard, 12 hour days for 1 month then 12 hour nights then switch back. the environment is tough, the work load is heavy. not always the support you need to help you. favoritism, Management can be difficult, sink or swim type of culture, The testing is nearly impossible to get through. In the end you can do a great job in learning the job, if they don't want you, you will be replaced!
