Pros
- Money (competitive compensation + RRSP matching + benefits)
Cons
* Please see review titled "Competitive salary at the cost of terrible work/life balance and frustrating management" as it is incredibly accurate. - The entire company culture demonstrates a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. - Management does not value workers. This has made several people feel severely undervalued and is most likely what is causing the extremely high turnover rate at this location. - Management hires personal friends and promotes them often without even posting the position. - Many departments gossip between each other and spread confidential information shared in confidence to managers or HR for scheduling purposes (i.e. people‘s personal/family situations). - They often have issues with payment. I worked for two months before receiving my first paycheque. My colleague was not paid her overtime for four months. I am currently still battling to receive my last weeks of pay after leaving the company. This is very frustrating. - HR is in Costa Rica. There is no "human" resources department on site. - This place has endless band-aid solutions. Instead of fixing an issue that will help everyone long-term, they simply come up with a last minute temporary solution that often makes things worse. This issue is mostly a continued problem because management does not consult with workers who know the issue inside and out. They simply make the most cost-effective decision. This, sadly, is most likely because it increases their end of year bonus. - Toxic work environment. Every man for themselves attitude. Playing politics with the right people will help you move up the ladder.
