Pros

Not many pros besides actually enjoying the work.

Cons

VERY TOXIC work environment and department manager. Told during interview that my job would be something different than what I was instructed to do once hired. The department manager took me to lunch on my first day and proceeded to talk badly about each employee for 2 hours before I even knew them. After 2-3 months of working on a project that was something totally different than what I thought I signed up for the project suddenly ended and I was then “trained” on what I was supposed to be doing. When I would ask questions or was unsure about an offer I was creating I would be made to feel incompetent when I was still in the learning process. The manager would not like to answer questions I had but seemed fine talking with other coordinators in the office. During this time department managers attitude towards me completely changed and it turned into more of a verbally abusive and bullying environment. She would continuously make rude comments to me and about me in front of other coworkers and people in the office and when I finally had enough courage to go to HR and my fellow colleagues confirmed what was said to HR NOTHING happened and her actions continued. Despite having a high accuracy % I was still told my work was decent but I had to work on my personality. Then Covid happened and my position was “eliminated” when knowing full well that she was the reason and used Covid to her advantage.

Pros

Peers and teammates are supportive of each other. For a digital organization, the pay was very good but I believe they've significantly reduced salaries. Some of the managers were very good.

Cons

The Caesars Digital team operated in a flat organization, where some GMs were trying to actively manage teams of 75-150 individuals. Career growth is almost non-existent as a result. C-suite management was non-existent and came from finance or hospitality backgrounds. Org success was purely tied to annual EBITDA and without understanding of how a digital/engineering organization should be run, resulting in disconnected employees (most of whom were remote), lack of scalable structure, and zero oversight.
