Pros
Great atmosphere, great co-workers, had a lot of fun setting up the store and the initial opening. First-line supervisors were good and worked hard for everyone.
Cons
Several members of management began poisoning the Cabela's attitude and values when they started cutting back hours of part time workers who asked for more hours and started hiring more employees, most of them people they knew from previous employment. Also, several lead positions were filled by outside hires when qualified people were already on staff, again filled by people known by the managers at previous employment. Also, changed the responsibilities of some jobs after hiring basically removing all potential for promotion for certain employees and making the chances of getting a full-time position in that job almost impossible.
