Pros

Full Remote Working option is standard. Many people are long term employees, have settled into monotonous work, Some get travel opportunities for basic tasks

Cons

(1) Sycophancy goes a long way here for career growth. (2) Some joined straight after their university and never left and are here for zombie years (20-30+ years experience) who have worked their entire life in this company. So they are very averse to new ideas. (3) Legacy tools, Some ill timed acquisition of products and relabeling of them, But ultimately this looses direction. (4) Aim of the company is for 2 billion$ revenue but has not succeeded. The plan is now to reduce employee count to show it as profitable for acquisition by bigger players. So many engineers have been let go,, but middle management remains intact (which is possibly why this company is not very productive and misses deadlines in almost every project). (5) There was a lot of indiscriminate hiring. 100s of cases exist where one successfully refers their spouse based on personal contact, sometimes in the same project. (6) Money keeps pouring in unnecessary travel, long stays, frequent meetups at high spend staycations titled as team build, big spend Annual Functions. Yet the bonuses are miniscule across the globe.

Pros

In my business unit and I'm surrounded by smart, dedicated driven people which have created a pretty great culture.

Cons

The company is being bought so there a lot of uncertainty. And there are a lot of things frozen because of that so it's a little frustrating right now.

Pros

Typical big company with typical politics, benefits and challenges

Cons

They are pretty tied to the teleco space so that drives a lot of decisions
