The Culture, cohesion, positive belief, and togetherness that once defined CHEP could not be more deflated and eroded at this point in time. The sad truth to this reality falls back on upper management and higher ups without a doubt. What these incredibly intelligent individuals fail to realize, is that their once-impeccable business model is sinking and has been for quite some time now. Our US Spec (pooled) pallet that we offer most of our customers are getting worse and worse without reinvesting more capital on inventory that meets major retailer requirements. The recent layoffs in summer of 2025 have done nothing but worsen the culture and work place environment amongst us employees as well. The sad truth and reality is that half (or more) of us have realized that CHEP is not a final destination but rather a stepping stone we are all going to eventually end up using to find a much better place to be employed and call home. What CHEP used to be is a fond, distant memory compared to what the new higher up’s have built these last 12-18 months.
