Pros
Rewarding work assisting Transitioning Service Members with understanding and accessing their earned VA Benefits. Easy and fun day to day work. Great colleagues! I'd say that we got paid well for the nature and amount of work that we actually had day to day. Tuesdays (7 hour benefits class) can be long, but enjoyable and rewarding as well. 95% of the Service Members are so grateful that we are there, and thankful for the positive and supportive assistance we provide. Great 401K for those who do not need to use the company provided health insurance!
Cons
High turnover - very high. Sadly, there were workers who really did not want to be there (not sure why they took the job!) I think since the turn around was so frequent, the need to hire was dire and the interviewing process might not have been as regulated as it should be - (?? not sure)) maybe the hiring should be more closely regulated and it should be made known that the pay is non negotiable and that often times one might have to "stay busy" Of course this made this job very easy to leave as we constantly heard of similar job openings that paid better. Too many full time workers - not needed!* see advice for mgmt.
