Pros
There is never a dull moment working at CAE. Continual change and challenge is the name of the game. You will never be bored or looking for the next challenge, they will find you. It is an understatement to say how great the people are. The focus has now shifted to that by management, keeping the experts, balancing life / work. There is a distance to go, but things are moving in the right direction. Newly renovated offices which are bright and help people flourish and work, are popping up around the building. Long time staff are present around the office with 40+ years of experience, some leave, but eventually come back. Yes CAE is a big corporation, but the grass is not always greener elsewhere.
Cons
You are required to personally manage your stress and be mindful of your loads. As you grow in your career you will become a reference, and the better you are, the more gets thrown your way. Workloads and stress are heavy at times, and you are a victim of your own success. Depending on department you can be significantly underpaid, expected to do a job handled by 4 or 5 people in other departments. Lack of building space for the large growth in recent years.
