Pros

Possible place for short term work arrangement.

Cons

- This is same as former FTDI, Singapore. By this, all those reviews written for FTDI, Singapore holds good for this place too. - This is a SME with very low standard work culture. Employees are treated like cheap labourers, almost like trash. Management is very disrespectful to their employees. - Interviews are usually one way and they try to demean candidate's past experience or speak low of their previous employer during the interview and try to project their own standards as very high. Things like asking age of the female applicant, her family details, scrutinising gaps are very much in practice. - There are no ethics or conduct defined or followed by any management staff in this company. - Any problem brought to manager's notice, what so ever the reason, (be it be technical, pay raise, ethics, work place collaboration issues), the first thing manager would do is to threaten the employee to resign or else will be laid-off. Best advice is to record one-to-one conversations so that it can be produced as a proof if necessary. - Harassment, openly humiliating employees , fear management is what practiced here. They violate employment act and there by employees can reach out to MOM for help. - The work place for SW team is just one small room that can fit around 12 employees with very closely packed desks and is micro managed. - Company's attrition rate is extremely high. On an average, a new employee would stay there for few months to an year. In fact, there were many cases when the whole team had resigned at the same time. - Company is very adamant to make any kind of changes to improve. 9 to 6 is the work timings. Notifications are sent through email or admins for late arrivals and warnings are issued.. - There is no proper metric to measure employee performance and keep unrealistic expectations. - There are 4 technical teams overall. 30+ are employed in Singapore. - Code or product quality is very low because of no SW standards. None of the latest technologies are used here. They are not open to any improvement. No design, plan, nothing. Their sales also very low which leads to no profits and as a result work place facilities are very poor. Most of the SW work is to write demo applications to show in the exhibitions that management and sales team attends. - Untidy pantry, stinky, open dustbins are around. No good premises to eat food. The dustbins are cleared once in few days. 3 rooms are converted to work places. Small cabins. Toilets are very dirty, it's common to all the offices in that floor. Basically no good conditions to work. Pay is low compared to other similar companies in Singapore. -Reach out to past employees (LinkedIn)to get more details. An honest review can really save a career by helping others to make decisions.
