Pros

- Talented, hard-working colleagues who do their best and are kind. - Opportunities to take ownership of projects

Cons

- The executive leadership team is the weakest I’ve encountered in my career—lacking vision, alignment, and the ability to lead with clarity. This group prioritizes self-preservation, frequently excluding other team input on major decisions regardless of impact. At times, their approach feels like gaslighting. - Executives remain disconnected from daily operations and out of touch with the challenges teams face—offering little to no support while maintaining unrealistic expectations. I also never feel fully supported by my manager, who often ignores requests or fails to take urgent needs seriously, making it impossible to succeed in my role. - “Strategic” direction is often reactive and short-sighted, frequently shifting without input from teams or data-driven rationale. - The product roadmap is lackluster, and the overall vision lacks innovation and feels disconnected from go-to-market insights. - The company consistently struggles to meet its target goals due to poor executive decision-making. This results in execution and operational issues across teams—with no accountability at the top. Blame is regularly pushed down, and layoffs are used as the default solution. - Team goals are often undefined or unclear, making accountability difficult to establish, build momentum and ultimately delaying the resolution of underlying issues. Given these ongoing issues and the company’s current trajectory, I do not recommend working here. Unfortunately, working at Branch has been a very disappointing and stressful experience due to terrible management.

Pros

Compensation is fair and even above market rate for some positions, insurance/benefits are amazing for a company this size, and engineers are allowed to work without a lot of red tape of bureaucracy to do what needs to be done. Additionally, management is actively invested in employee development regularly making it a point to participate in experimentation for experimentation purposes; leading to ahead of the curb distributed stack adoptions.

Cons

Very few other than communications between teams could be better.
