Pros

-The experience. Although, this really depends on your manager and your team's activities. Like all places, management has a mix of managers. Supply chain has a couple of good managers, but mostly poor ones. They might be good at what they do, but they are poor leaders. Advise to everyone: Just because someone is good at getting the job done, it does not mean they will make good managers/directors. Some managers lack basic introspection skills/critical thinking skills/empathy and don't see high turn out as their problem, they see as they employee not being 'good'.

Cons

-Salary is below market average -Bonus structure is a joke -Healthcare is an even bigger joke (I got more coverage and had lower payments with the insurance offered as a PT employee at (will not name) store when I was in college than I do at a Fortune 500 company. -As of January, BDSI aligned with Boeing titles, this meant that a bunch of us employees who were salary were 'demoted' to hourly (this was done to employees who had been here for over 5 years as well not just new employees). -There is a cafeteria where food is expensive AF. -Their idea of gifts is vouchers for the above mentioned cafeteria. -They've also prohibited employee use of single-stall/unisex restrooms and forcing employees to use their keycards to be allowed into the other restrooms. - Warehouse employees make $11-12/hr. Even Amazon pays more. For anyone thinking of applying: DON'T. You could probably make more money, get treated better.

Pros

Easy going, nice benefits, free further education (masters/PhD). Great for an engineer starting out who needs to dip their feet in the pool of engineering for a few years and to get a great 401(k) match at the start of your career (compounding growth). Great for late stage career due to the benefits and solid enough pay in a low cost of living area

Cons

pay-scale lagging, no emphasis on learning new things, no punishment for people who are bad at their job. After working for 4 years, I feel like I should have jumped ship after 2. I haven't been given meaningful work that really challenges me in a while. Now I feel pigeonholed into staying because I have enough years of experience that I really should be considered senior, but I haven't been given work that reflects what I senior engineer should be capable of. Now I'm trying to jump ship before it's really too late. If I stay here another 2 years I think I will be genuinely unemployable and will have to stay at this company forever.
