Pros

Trust - Freedom to build an entire department from the ground up the way I wanted. I've been very lucky with CEO's in this area. Resources - I've been given every resource I've asked for, or could show was necessary. Direct CEO Contact and Close Input - The door is always open and help is always available. Kindness - Employees made me feel very welcome, and have helped in many cross functional projects without fail, a "we are all in this together" type start up group in my experience. Many long term employees who "bleed BiSN". Passion - Despite being a larger company now, it still retains start up passion, everyone is expected to go the extra mile when delivering for the customer. Variety - Working with clients who need complex new solutions to their problems every day is very exciting, it never gets boring. Team - My direct team in the UK is a brilliant group of people, a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Onboarding could be improved, I was lucky with my start that I got to go straight to a testing location and see everything in a very hands on way, with rapid learning but this area does need to be improved as the company pushes through to that next level to support the many more employees that will be needed during the growth. Pretty full on busy, there is a lot to do and a big drive in people to get it done, this isn't for you if you are looking to hide or for a cushy job, it's pretty fast paced, demands people have opinions so not for wallflowers or those looking to coast.

Pros

Although a small company, they operate worldwide and you get to learn about worldwide logistical issues. Some good and smart employees exist which are the only reasons for this place not going down yet. The company pays decent salary (with the caveat that other benefits suck and keeps getting worse).

Cons

An incredibly toxic environment. The abusive owner of this place transitioned from accounting into inventorship, and in my experience, financial metrics consistently took priority over employee mental and physical well-being. His style is best described metaphorically as expecting employees to take extreme risks while being told to “do it safely.” A large portion of senior management will backstab each other and their own subordinates (although no org chart exists). Long-tenured employees often appeared disengaged or emotionally withdrawn. Professional boundaries are unclear, and personal relationships within leadership contributes to perceptions of favoritism.
