The Plano, TX location has had about 80% turnover over the last 3-5 years and it's no secret why. The culture is extremely negative and it's only getting worse. The President of BenQ North America is the direct cause of the negative culture and takes no responsibility for it. Condescending meetings, no trust between the company and its employees, no sense of flexibility or respect, and the company is essentially run like it's 1997. You are constantly being watched and scrutinized, even for taking legally-allowed breaks. Any HR director or manager that has been hired is let go within a year because push back and new ideas aren't welcomed, so there's no sense of security if you voice any concerns. If you try to do things creatively or with a logical purpose, you will be publicly criticized in team meetings if it doesn't align with the President's wishes (which never remain consistent or inline with present-day standards and practices). Besides culture, there aren't many layers within the company (purposefully, because of salary limitations), so if you're looking to grow and move up in your career, it would take much longer than usual here. The computers they provide you to work on aren't good quality, so you're often wasting time waiting on your tech... at a tech company. The mid-tier managers are great, but as long as the current President is running BenQ North America, people will continue to leave for good reason.
