Pros

Hands off management Great environment Lots of knowledgeable colleagues Challenging work

Cons

Attrition levels are high and they lean on people retained to spread the workload. Pay incentives are not as good. HR and finance make decisions that directly affect engineering without understanding consequences.

Pros

This is one of the nicest companies to work for. Everyone is genuine, down t earth, and kind. People are eager to answer your questions and give you meaningful work if you ask for it.

Cons

If you don't work to plug yourself in, you will not have the working knowledge to participate in the job. Without your own effort, it would be easy to coast by and fly under the radar. It is difficult to fold in a completely unexperienced intern into contracting unless the intern is proactive to learn and ask questions.

Pros

Great pay, Great benefits, holistically cool projects

Cons

Large corporation where no one knows whats going on, This is a 3rd party integrator using outsourced parts dressing up as a major manufacturer for defense. Soul sucking work that turns engineering into extra paperwork Layoffs, Poor VP level management, No real direction or training
