Pros

Great benefits. For non rank & file there is flexben, HMO coverage for all your dependents, cash allowances for medicine, optical, dental, clothing and meals. I also got to travel during annual conferences and summer outings,

Cons

Very political management. They don't recognize people with potential. If you want to move up or try another role, they don't even consider or talk to you about it. And their HR people are so unethical, no integrity. I tried applying for a supervisor position after I was in the company for more than 2 years. The interviewer told me she was just interviewing me for formality's sake but I was not really being considered for the position because I wasnt an engineer... even though I've already held the role unofficially for several months because of a vacancy. Then I know of one HR officer who was responsible for rumor mongering. It was so very traumatic.

Pros

Better pay than other companies My team - full of hardworking and knowledgable individuals.

Cons

Leadership/Management - can be micromanaging at times and not a lot of guidance/resources being provided. Projects can change swiftly at Bayer, and most of the times there's no background context given. Work/life balance - asked to be "flexible" with schedule for last-minute requests, then criticized for having life/responsibilities outside of work. Also, these last minute requests reflect poor planning on management. Lack of team morale - seems like it's all work and not a lot of play. Burnout culture and not a lot of incentives to perform better.
