Pros

-Enjoyable store appearance and amenities (25,000 gallon tank sure beats that aquarium in the corner) -Discount is very generous on store owned goods if the products interest you (fishing, hunting, camping, etc..)

Cons

-Management runs the place very old school (1980s work safety videos, candy bar/$1 incentives for goals) - training is learn as you go which can leave you hung out to dry in new situations - pay is low compared to the revenue the stores bring in everyday

Pros

Bass Pro Shops has a strong team culture, and the people are one of the best parts of working here. I've had the opportunity to work with talented and supportive coworkers who are willing to collaborate and help each other succeed. The company also offers exposure to large-scale marketing initiatives and provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects across multiple channels and business areas.

Cons

The compensation and benefits package could be more competitive, especially when compared to similar marketing roles in the industry. Project timelines are often extremely aggressive, leaving little room for unexpected challenges and creating a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. While the work can be rewarding, the combination of tight deadlines and limited resources can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance at times.
