Pros

Resume building. One of few companies to offer a pension

Cons

The want to be bulge bracket but pay the minimum they can. They offer salary + "addition fixed pay" + tiny bonus. The effect of this is that they avoid UK taxes on bonuses, but do not need to commit to raising actual base pay and benefits based on it. Salaries have not be raised in IT for 3 years. Also by giving everyone "addition fixed pay" it reduces the abillity to differentiate between A and C employees. Raises in total comp to top employees was less than 2% for some departments -- not much different than C employees; Why work hard if there is no possibility of reward?

Work Life balance, 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, friendly atmosphere, Great campus and facilities,

Cons

Pay and Bonus can be higher and on par with competitors. High loyalty tax. Low merit increases and bonus. Competitive but Loyal Long-term employees get demotivated and tend to quite quit.
