Great if you can land in a nice team; fairly good pay. Friendly people. Flat. Hours are manageable; there is a work life balance.
Cons
HR is bad. That's an understatement: they're terrible. Generally insensitive, stingy, and they make mistakes. See the rest of reviews for similar comments. Initial training program was horrendous. Classes sitting playing solitaire and minesweeper for a whole month. To save costs, HR outsourced the whole program to several different companies, hosted at a external training venue away from the offices. The trainers were sufficiently incompetent for whole classes to complain. Pointless make-work activities for filling the time. HR refused to pay travel costs for grads from foreign offices (!), such as airport to office transportation. The whole experience was highly off-putting; and as a first experience to Barcap, terrible for morale.
