Pros
The company is still small so there are many opportunities to stretch outside of your day to day responsibilities. Because of that I have had the opportunity to engage all levels of upper management with process improvement suggestions.
Cons
I don't remember the last time a week has gone by without something going wrong. Decisions are often made in silos and are not weighed across the business areas. Instead of project managers who understand the competing interests of departments, goals are made by the individual groups, often at the expense of another.
