The management don’t care at all about their employees, as long as the work gets done. All they do is talk about 360 feedback, yet when presented with feedback themselves, they are only willing to take on positive feedback rather than constructive as well. I even had an exit interview with a director where I gave mix of feedback, and as soon as I mentioned the management he didn’t want to hear it, it’s a disgrace. They don’t care about people and they’re obsessed with control, they literally prevent their team members from making internal job moves as well, like go and speak to the hiring managers to ensure they don’t give people in their team the job. They make fun of the people in their teams, laughing at them and bullying people. One of the managers was even clearly sleeping with the head of department. I personally was heavily involved in one of the networks that got a lot of shoutouts from senior management, and as soon as those shoutouts started happening, my manager was trying to push me to not be a part of the network, because she literally didn’t want me to be getting recognised. There was one guy from another department who did a secondment in our area, had to re-interview at the end of his secondment and found out he didn’t get the job by logging into the HR portal, his manager who he’d been working with for a YEAR didn’t even have the courtesy to take him aside and let him know. The managers conveniently find BS excuses to mark people down or put people on action plans right before the half year and end of year reviews. It doesn’t matter at all what you write in your own review as it’s completely based on whether or not they like you.
