Pros

Some of the people you meet in the field are nice.

Cons

Take a look around and ask why is nearly everyone here new? All the products are way more expensive than the competition. Your leads are the scraps and left overs of Colonial Penn after 90 days when someone contacts that company for a quote. I promise you, because it happened to everyone one in my office and the neighboring one, you will drive thousands of miles and spend hundereds on gas for people who won't even be home for your appointment. Think about it, you work there for a few months and sell a few policies but have to leave because you are broke, but guess who retains the clients and renewals and monthly premiums...they have nothing to lose at all, only you do. Multiply this by thousands of agents that come and go and there you have it a good old fashioned scam.

Pros

Bankers provides award winning training, an elaborate product portfolio and a rapidly growing market. They leverage cutting edge technology: contact and LEAD management, electronic business submission, an incredible proprietary mobile application. I have 11 companies I can be appointed with - making sure my clients get the best program for what they NEED. A great opportunity to receive great training, work with great people and make a great living, all for helping people.

Cons

This opportunity is just that, an opportunity. Those who don't take advantage of it won't think it is a good one. Even successful people deal with a ton of rejection, thick skin is needed. With a 40% closing ratio, I still hear "No" more than "Yes".
