1. Streamlined interview process: Out of all companies that I had interviewed for during my job search, BackboneAI provided the best experience, hands-down. Unlike other companies, I went through several rounds of meaningful interviews in less than two weeks with clear definitions of what steps were next and what I should expect. There was a clear level of respect for my time and effort as a candidate, and it was evident throughout each interview. 2. Inclusion and diversity: With mostly distributed/remote teams across Europe, Asia, and North/South America, Backbone has managed to find incredible leadership and talent throughout all teams. Real technical problems to be solved and lots of room for ownership: Every startup claims that they give their employees ownership over their work and opportunities for growth, but few ever live up to it. Backbone is a clear exception to this – in interest of solving real-world technical problems with major impact, everybody has meaningful impact and responsibilities. The work can definitely be fast-paced and challenging, but adjacent team members and management are constantly on the lookout for making sure that the load is manageable and have an open channel of communication if you need assistance. In fact, they often "temperature check" and may suggest slowing down temporarily after a major sprint or taking on less-intensive tasks in order not to burn yourself out – I can safely say I haven't had this level of care anywhere else.
