Pros
I joined Backbone Connect almost 3 years ago now. I joined with the attitude thinking I was the best and quickly learned that I was entering a different league of sales and IT consulting. Although times were sometimes tough and stressful I have always had a group of people that mentored me helping me every step of the way from the Directors who were and still very much are involved with my training and activities to the technical training I received as well as my manager who traveled with me to any meeting I when I asked for support. I’ve grown to become not only one of the top performers but I’ve picked up skills that will allow me to be a leader, an entrepreneur, and most importantly understand the responsibilities of managing people. The values of bonding together as a family with the people we work with as we go through the Covid pandemic. Our business has truly shown what it means to care about your staff even when times are hard. I hope the company stays strong for many years to come and never loses its culture/energy that it’s always had. It’s the people that make coming to work everyday fun.
Cons
Progression opportunities and training courses are limited once you reach Senior title. This is especially true in sales. Hopefully this can be explored further once we return to the office.
