Pros

I worked with BMJ India for six years, and my experience with the organisation was extremely positive and professionally enriching. It was a place where I learned, grew, and collaborated with some of the most passionate and dedicated professionals in the publishing and healthcare space. BMJ India has a supportive and collaborative work culture. The leadership team was approachable and encouraged open communication and innovation. During my tenure, I always felt there was a genuine intent to listen to employees and to act in alignment with BMJ’s global values of integrity, quality, and impact. The work environment was engaging, and teamwork was one of its strongest pillars. I had the opportunity to work across multiple functions and collaborate with global teams, which gave me valuable international exposure. The organisation also placed strong emphasis on professional development, providing opportunities to take on new challenges and responsibilities. BMJ’s mission of advancing healthcare knowledge was not just a statement—it truly reflected in the everyday work and decisions. The sense of purpose made the experience meaningful and motivating.

Cons

As with any growing organisation, there were occasional challenges during transitions and process changes. However, I found the management team to be responsive and constructive in addressing concerns and maintaining transparency.
