Pros

BD University was a wonderful learning experience and offered tools that I use every day in business. The overall effect made BD a highly professional environment and a relatively pleasant place to work. At BD there was a true commitment to work/life balance, especially to young families and people with disabilities. While working there one felt they were making an improvement to someone's daily life.

Cons

Too much politics and old school network when seeking opportunities and/or advancement. Individulists were isolated and excluded from opportunities, both professionally and socially. The wages were quite low for the region and were only partially offset by the benefits provided. An in-depth analysis of the cost-of-employment should be done before accepting any offers.

Pros

There really aren't any. Incredibly toxic culture all the way down. BD used to be a great and supportive place to work but that is no more.

Cons

Very toxic culture. Management all the way down is either abusive or or flat out incompetent. We are told to essentially ignore our own code of conduct policies and ethics to the point where all qualified and competent performers have been run off by tyrant middle managers who can essentially do whatever they want or being saddled with the work of 3 people. You will not be valued here. The morale is at bottom and everyone is looking to leave the sinking ship.
