Pros

Honestly, I would struggle to quantify a positive at BC Ferries. I gave my notice after 7 years, took a massive salary reduction but my happiness sky rocketed. In my books this was a good return. In the end I found happiness and had a life. The money found me eventually. It was a great life lesson. Don't settle, don't be lured by perceptions of good pay and job security. Challenge yourself and move on. Don't sell yourself out. You'll regret it.

Cons

Monkey uniforms, management, communication, structure, HR is a joke. Most people have very little goals in life and hate to hear about anybody plans to do more with their life. Theft is a regular occurrence. Supervisors have communication skills of a cave man.

Pros

The view/ some good coworkers

Cons

The management treat you like a number, average or below average pay to be at the beckon call of the company when they are short staffed. No life and dont expect time off in the summer for anything because of their peak opertional clause. No back scratching.
