Pros

Sort of casual. The worker bees are good people overall.

Cons

Where do I start? The new CEO is worse than the old CEO. I didn't think that was possible. He is running the company into the ground and making bank for himself. Product management is clueless. Products are old and falling apart at the seams and there is no product roadmap in place, just deal with favorite customer fires. Hack in a special feature for them and wait until it messes up other customers with unforeseen side-effects. All the good people have left and the few that remain behind either are afraid to look for a new job because they have become obsolete like the products the've been maintaining or just don't care and hope to ride it out as long as they can. Senior management changes happen but they replace one bad French person for a worse French person. No opportunites for career growth. If you are a developer or tester, they will suck your talent dry and leave you obsolete, but more than likely they will not use your talent and make you work with old tech and you will become obsolete that way too.

Pros

Remote, this is an extreme pro because it will keep you from catching an assault case when some Axway career loser talks crazy to you on email or Teams and all you want to do is punch the guy in the mouth. So many long term employees there couldn't work anywhere else b/c they aren't even half-way competent at their jobs - performance over substance, mediocrity over competence and being male are what is rewarded there.

Cons

How long have you got? Below market pay. Co-workers and leadership that range from incompetent to passive aggressive to outright hostile. Some of the worst contract T&Cs I've seen in my career - it took me a while to realize the reason I never had legal redline review calls with customers - the T&Cs were completely in their favor. There wasn't much for them to redline. Cross functional teams will do nothing but dump work on you or pontificate on calls about anything other than what you've asked them to actually do. The "great work life balance" is for everyone else but the sales team. Others have a great balance b/c they don't actually have to do much work. Guess who gets to pick up the slack b/c you have to get deals over the line? But don't worry, you'll get a link to a Jive post or a PPT prez explaining how you can do their job for them. I'm not kidding. Truly a nightmare of a company.
