Pros

I spent several years at Avanade and witnessed both its strengths and its growing pains. While the company once fostered a collaborative, innovative culture, the past few years have been challenging. The frequency of layoffs and restructuring created uncertainty and impacted morale across teams. It was tough to see talented colleagues let go and the culture shift away from what originally made Avanade feel like a great place to grow. Layoffs included several technical resources and Corporate Functions.

Cons

Corporate Functions absorbed into Accenture in March 2025, which effected thousands of people laid off in multiple countries in HR, Marketing, and Recruiting. We found out in January 2025 if you were offered at Accenture, several tenured resources were not offered, where is the loyalty? None apparently! It ended up being awkward at times working with other team members that were offered for many months until your exit date. Leadership decisions felt increasingly disconnected from employee feedback, and the sense of community that once defined the organization has noticeably diminished. That said, there are still smart, passionate people doing great work here!

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
