Pros

AudioEye has a great product that is doing something important in the world. It's not just a great mission, it's a well made product with a talented product team. It's fantastic not just in the UI but the UX is fabulous. Their designers are very talented. If you're looking at a sales role, you get the satisfaction of selling something every company really should have. Due to the nature of the product, you will meet some wonderful people at the company. (I did same some.... there are many others I can't say the same for)

Cons

TLDR: The vision/direction of the company is unclear and always changing which is probably why they are the oldest in the industry and yet are still a fairly small company and are in my mind far behind in growth to their top competitors. 1. There are 2 types of executives at this company: micromanagers or those that lead very distantly. It's clear that there isn't real coaching happening. Leadership is pretty weak. 2. They also don't have a clear idea of what anyone's job role really is. If you take a job there, I would ask the manager with each of their constant pivots to have an updated job description and understanding what is expected of you. (That is good advice for any tech job but particularly necessary here) 3. Be aware that this company does a major round of layoffs pretty much every year and does a re-org every couple months. If you see people at the team are getting promoted often on Linkedin don't take that as a good thing. It's not a sign of progress, it's a sign that they once again moved everyone around. They don't give anyone enough time to understand what they're doing let alone get good enough at it to be successful. This is one of the most poorly organized companies I've ever seen let alone worked at. 4. They have the worst of the West Coast etiquette which is that everyone is overly polite and seemingly nice/gentle on zoom but they aren't kind. Kind leadership involves listening, direct and clear communication, setting people up for success, equity of treatment of people of different identities (meaning you could succeed if you weren't a straight white dude which is mostly not the case) Personally I think it's easier to have someone who may not always be polite but you know where you stand and you feel like you're treated the same as a straight white guy.... If you are a straight white guy, you will get the royal treatment here. You should take the job!

Pros

They have the best product out there and it’s a relatively straightforward sale. The tempo is fast paced and they pay well.

Cons

Fast paced environment which is not for everyone.

Pros

The benefits and culture were great, and relationships with peers felt real and meaningful.

Cons

There is a high risk for burn out in this role. Expect to wear a lot of hats and juggle many responsibilities. There were also often years that the company neglected to provide merit increases/raises regardless of performance.
