Pros

Convenient location smack in the middle of Singapore. Non-CBD area, no CBD crowd. Country manager is nice and approachable, tries to change things but lacks support from majority of the people.

Cons

Forget about its Olympic fame or size. It is just an empty shell in Singapore. If you are looking to explore technologies or to learn, this is NOT the place for you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. There are only two sides to the SG brunch; either you belong to the hardware side or solutions side. The tech on both sides is very shallow; you will end up doing paper work most of the time. Even in a technical role, the skills you learn are product specific and not transferrable elsewhere. Monetary and benefits wise, it is bad. Pay is not fantastic, nor is the increment. No 13th month and bonus can be VERY pathetic depending on company’s performance. D&D is once every 4 years with extremely little budget. Leave days is little with a mandatory 4 days year end closure to suck employee’s little leave days. Many middle managers have minimal leadership capability; they micro manage people and treat people like minions that exist only to meet their deadlines. They have little desire to empower or grow people in their careers. That being said, some teams might have great leaders that are unknown to me. Company is not interested in investing time to automate processes and making things more efficient. They believe in doing things the usual and manual way. Many teams are stuck in their rut and do not want to try new things. When people leave, no rehiring is done and the load just end up on poor people left behind.
