Pros
Your work impacts a large number of people Working at this scale can be a great learning experience for some The culture allows a high level of autonomy due to a high level of trust in engineers The company contains a wealth of knowledge and a high-density of intelligent people
Cons
High autonomy can mean some teams step on each others feet and reinvent the wheel 7 times, it takes personal effort to coordinate with other teams. This is getting better (and I'm getting better at it) It is not the place for people who want to just follow instructions. This might be a concern for some folks.
