Fantastic people, but company shift affects morale - Manager Athos Commerce Employee Review

It was a great place to work, and I worked directly with the co-founders and my reporting director, who were always supportive. This was my experience during the first two years I worked with the company, when it was still Intelligent Reach. Many of the employees had been with the organisation since its founding days — for around five years plus overall.

Things changed after the company was acquired by Athos Commerce, backed by PSG. The original co-founders and management team left, and many employees who had been with the organisation for nearly five years experienced little to no career growth and were indirectly encouraged to leave. Career progression had almost come to a standstill, with promotions often limited to title changes rather than meaningful salary increases, despite employees consistently meeting and exceeding their goals. Athos Commerce, backed by PSG, strongly believed in outsourcing and aimed to move much of the workforce to India as a cost-cutting measure. While I understand the financial reasoning behind this approach, replacing long-serving employees instead of addressing the underlying issues was not necessarily the right solution.
