Pros

Cool work in many disciplines. Interdisciplinary learning and engagement. Good education.

Cons

The management of the consulting section of the firm refuses to solve major personnel problems. One person is nearly singlehandedly responsible for 10+ people departing the firm or moving offices and management refuses to demote or fire them.

Pros

Working at Arup was a great experience, surrounded by smart, motivated, and mission-driven peers.

Cons

This may have since improved, but at least previously, the America's region felt rather second-class compared to UK. Most/all senior leadership, even in the US, was British.

Pros

great supervisor, lots of professional development opportunities

Cons

insane workload and expect you to be available for work 24/7. some teams are drowning and others have no resourcing. layoffs happen completely randomly and they lay off people who are 100 percent billable. profit share is bs and you get nothing as a junior member
